Please note: This run does not start at the Skate Park
- Starting at the layby near Hopwas Quarry
- Cross the road, being careful of traffic, and enter the woods; follow the footpath (keeping pigs on the left). At the junction of bridlepaths, head straight on so the woods are on the right and open fields on the left, skirting round the edge of the woods until you reach the canal.
- Cross the canal and turn left. Follow the towpath to Whittington. At the first canal bridge (Whittington Road), leave the towpath, go over the canal bridge and immediately left onto the footpath towards the white farmhouse. Follow the footpath down the side of the house (riding school on the left) until you reach Whittington ranges.
- FP goes right, but you need to head left along the path, diagonally left over open land until you reach the tarmac road. Follow the road left until just before the shooting range.
- Take the small path to the right, along the edge of the field, to join the main bridleway back to Hopwas woods.
- At the junction, turn right and retrace the route back to the layby
