Summer Route 5 -Meadow and Tame Otter

  1.  Left at the tennis courts and over the river bridge.
  2.   Turn right on Ladybridge and go through the iron gate on the left.
  3.   Make your way to the right, following the riverbank to the last stile.
  4.   Over stile and follow the path to the metal gate at the end.
  5.   Go over the gate/stile and turn right – follow the lane to the Tame Otter pub.
  6.   Go through the car park.
  7.   Turn left onto the canal tow path
  8. Just before you cross the River Tame, take a left and head down the steps onto the flood plain. (During times of flood, follow steps 13 & 14)
  9. Follow the dirt path along the river until you reach the bank opposite M&S.
  10. Run up the bank and turn right along the compacted path.
  11. Follow the compacted path until you reach the green bridge.
  12. Go over the green bridge and back into the castle grounds.
  13. (Only follow if the river is flooded at step 8) Proceed along the tow path all the way back to Peelers Way.
  14.   Make your way down Peelers Way back through Castle Grounds or through Snowdome
