This route has one optional loop at around mile 2
- Past tennis courts and right onto castle grounds path
- Turn left on the main footpath
- Turn right under subway leading onto Glascote Road
- Turn right into Bamford Street
- Turn left at St Georges Church through to Neville Street
- Turn right follow the road leading onto Jowett
- Turn left, follow path up to the traffic lights on Marlborough Road,
- Cross over and follow paths,
- Turn left just after Tamworth Athletics club through to Silver Link Road,
- Turn right follow road
- (Optional loop around Deltic)
- Turn left at B5000 cross over at lights,
- Turn right and left into Woodland Road follow road round until you go past the entrance to the school
- Down the ramp to the underpass and turn right
- Just after the underpass turn left into Hornbeam
- Follow Hornbeam round to the left until you rejoin Woodland road
- Turn left into Jasmine Rd and go straight ahead until you reach the railings
- Pass through gap of the railings and turn right into Sharpe St
- Turn left into Woodhouse Lane, Amington to the T Junction
- Turn left into Tamworth Road
- Follow the road leading into Amington Road to the railway arches,
- Follow the paths round following river to tennis courts and back to skate park
